Adi Tatar: Why not to appeal to Strasburg, OIC, etc. - It’s a clear case of racial, religious and linguistic discrimination on the part of the russian autho
Strasburg, of course. Where else in this world people are banned from using their native language words and Islamic terms for naming their national and religious organizations? Only in this, as Lenin put it, "prison of nations". How long will this last? While the more developed part of the world is heading ahead in the 21 century, russian bureaucrats are dragging the Tatars and other Muslims into the 16th-20th centuries, into the world of ivans-the-terribles, hitlers, stalins, etc. Well, nobody can order or persuade the russian state machine to live according to the laws of the civilzed world, but why do we, the Tatars, have to live under this idiotic oppression? That simply evades me. Why are we disallowed to use our own language, our own words, our own terms for denoting our own organizations, companies, festivals, etc.? I don’t get it. Why is it that the forces of backwardness have always prevailed in russia? Why is it that we, the Tatars, have always been separated by these forces of backwardness from the advanced countries of Europe, from the US achievements in human rights and civil liberties? I don’t get it, do you?
